2. Flow Chart showing the overall work done in the Implementation 6 Simulation Setup and Implementation Details To evaluate the performance of Power-Aware Trusted AODV in the presence of route misbehavior attacks, a Java based network simulator namely JiST-SWANS is used. JIST is a high-performance discrete event simulation engine that runs over a standard Java virtual machine. SWANS is a scalable wireless network simulator built atop the JiST platform. It was created primarily because existing network simulation tools are not sufficient for current research needs, and its performance serves as a validation of the virtual machine-based approach to simulator construction.
