Why did patients have to wait eighteen weeks for a scan that took ten minutes to perform? So we asked the radiology people if they would come to the clinic with their ultrasound machine. There was initially some resistance to our suggestion. However, when we showed the number of patients who needed scans, it became apparent that coming to the clinic was just as good a use of their time and it would save them a lot of extra administrative work.
